Catch Up!
EEEEEEK! Where has the time gone? I know it’s not the first time I’ve said it & I’m sure it won’t be the last. Life has been wonderful but insane & it swept away our chance to write to y’all. So this is a catch up. Think of it as a double feature- 2 weekends in 1 post. Double the fun right?
On April 9th we had 3 weddings! All Alabama weddings too! First up was Alana who worked with Katelyn. It’s a perfect example of how customizable our packages are as it was a “Marrier Only” package .( As a reminder we use the gender neutral term of barrier not Bride on our packages.) The wedding was at Stovehouse in Huntsville, AL. Katelyn provided both hair & makeup services. We also sourced these super fun & glamorous celestial hairpin details for Alana. Flowers were provided by Old Frond in a beautiful array of jewel tones. We even have a sneak peak from her fabulous photographer & our friendor Brittanie Wichael Photography .
Our other wedding was with Clarissa by stylist Casey. This wedding took place just outside of Tuscaloosa. Casey provided hair services for Clarissa & her crew while Heather Michelle provided makeup services. We had the joy of working with some amazing vendors including Once Upon a Bloom, Classic Catering & Events, & Weddings by EMD. We can’t wait to see how these stunning the day was!
Our final wedding of April 9th was with me ( Ashley) just outside of Birmingham. Cheyenne had a style switch up about 6 weeks prior to the wedding. Originally she had planned to have a fully up look & that’s what we did at her trial. However over the months between her trial & wedding she found other looks that enticed her. Finally she just had to follow her heart & go for that down look with big sexy curls glamorously tucked behind one ear. She was nervous that changing her style would complicate things. Not at all! We are excited to go with you on this dream look journey wherever it may take us. We color matched her for extensions to give her more length & volume. She is wearing level 2 from Donna Bella. ( Curious about extensions? Read a bit more about if they’re right for your needs/wants in this post). These extensions really brought the whole look to life!
So after Cheyenne’s wedding I was personally off for vacation. It however did not mean work of the team stopped & honestly it’s tough as a business owner finding the balance between work & rest. Something that I am learning as I want to be always present, always helpful & don’t want anyone to have to wait for me. That being said I’m grateful for the time to take a moment of R& R. It’s something invaluable that we all need to implement more conscintenly . While away I checked and responded to emails for 1 hour a day (though could be reached for something truly urgent) besides a few days back country camping where I was off the grid. So this post didn’t get written because I was busy eating all the delicious food Austin could offer.
While I was away business carried on with lots of trials & singular events. Singular events included a clients birthday hair & makeup for her 30th birthday bash. It also included hair & makeup for a bride’s engagement photos. She had already booked with us but often depending on timing our engagement photos clients turn into wedding clients. This just happened to be vice versa. This carried us through the second weekend & over the Easter holiday.
It was busy busy & the upcoming weeks are no different. And what a beautiful blend of wedding & other events to showcase. Did you know we do other events? Well, now you do! Also are you curious about my trip? Well that’s for another post- stay tuned !
